What is a Modular Home?  

A Modular house is a sectional prefabricated houses that consist of multiple sections which are manufactured in a remote climate controlled facility and then delivered to their intended site of use. Nearly the whole home (approximately 90%) is built at the factory.    The rest is built on site, including the footer, and concrete stem-wall.

Is Modular the same as a trailer or a double wide?

No.  A modular home is very different.  Modular home is a traditionally built home, it is just built off-site.   Your modular home will also be built to a traditional homes wind code rating or above.  We can build homes rated to 150 mph with modular construction.   You can’t do that with a trailer.

A panelized home is a great way to build either an affordable or a custom home.  They combine time-tested building methods with modern technology to deliver customizable, energy-efficient, beautiful new homes.  The interior and exterior walls of a panelized home are built in a climate-controlled facility which helps with speed and savings.  The walls are then erected on you slab in a matter of days.  Panelized is a great options for those interested in building a frame construction house!

Once your modular home is built at the factory the pieces of the home are transported by truck and lifted into place on site with a crane.  Depending on the floor plan this can save time and money over traditional construction methods.  As with panelized, these homes are built to all the latest building codes with frame construction.  The modular homes we install are factory certified with Energy Star rated energy efficiency standards.  A modular homes biggest advantage is that it can be built and ready to live in within about a 6 week time-frame!
